Working together for excellent healthcare in North Norfolk and rural Broadland

Our Executive Team makes sure all the work and decisions taken by the Council of Members and Governing Body are carried out. It is made up of five GPs who were elected by their peers, three practice managers and the Chief Officer and Chief Financial Officer from the CCG.

I am the Chief Officer for NHS South Norfolk and North Norfolk CCGs, a joint position between both organisations that came into place from September 3rd 2016.

I have had a varied career ranging from builder to economist, and have worked in the private sector, national and local government, the NHS, and the charitable sector. For the past 20 years he has worked mostly within the NHS, spending nine years as Chief Executive of two NHS Trusts and a Primary Care Trust, with a spell as a Chief Executive of a charitable company.

I have led significant change and recovery programmes and have sat on both sides of the Commissioner/Provider world. I am an advocate of the development of sustainable partnerships that involve a range of agencies, clinicians and the public to make systems work effectively and maximize their potential to transform services.

Chief OfficerAntek Lejk

I trained at Guys Hospital in London and qualified in 1988. I undertook GP training scheme in Norfolk and I am currently a senior partner at Hoveton and Wroxham Medical Centre.

I am the Vice Chair of North Norfolk CCG and I lead on Clinical prescribing and cancer. Previously I have been a GP member of Norfolk Health authority, GP Commissioning Group and on the board of Broadland and the North Norfolk Primary Care Groups.

Executive Team member GPDr Linda Hunter

I qualified in 1986 from Westminster Medical School and entered a vocational training scheme in Croydon for general practice. I have been a full time partner at Birchwood Surgery in North Walsham since 1990.

I have previously been a clinical governance lead for North Norfolk PCG and I am currently the clinical lead for NNCCG around commissioning community services including Long-Term Conditions, End of Life and Continuing Care, and safe guarding children.

I worked for Social Services in London for 13 years as a Finance Manager where I qualified as an accountant.

I took up the position of Practice Manager at Stalham Staithe Surgery 10 years ago and I have since taken an active role in pan-practice working and have been pro-actively involved in Practice-Based Commissioning through to Clinical Commissioning. I work with the clinical leads for NN CCG on prescribing, enhanced services and continuing care.

I am responsible for the strategic planning, service redesign and oversight of the commissioning process for NNCCG. I have a background in Operational Management, Project and Programme Management within both the private and public sector (Engineering, New Technology Development, Health and Social Care)

Chief Operating OfficerMark Burgis

I joined North Norfolk CCG as Chief Finance Officer on the 1st May 2013, having held various senior finance roles in the NHS. My NHS career started in 1978 in Lancashire and after having a break of 8 years during which I ran my own business, I came back to the NHS in 1996.

Since then my roles have been mainly in commissioning, in Essex and Suffolk, but I have also worked for a learning disabilities provider and in an acute hospital as Deputy Finance Director.

On July 1st 2016 my role became a shared position managing a joint finance team across both North and South Norfolk CCGS.

Chief Finance OfficerHelen Stratton

Having qualified at Cambridge University, I am a practicing GP at Staithe Surgery in Stalham, where I have been a Partner since 1993. I have been involved in local NHS development since 1998 as former chair of Broadland and North Norfolk Primary Care Groups, and serving on Norfolk Primary Care Trust Board in a variety of roles.

During the last 6 years I have been leading on increasing the involvement of general practices in planning healthcare in North Norfolk, initially through Practice Based Commissioning, and through my current role as Chair of NNCCG.

I graduated in medicine from Oxford University in 1997. I have lived and worked in North Norfolk since 2005. I am currently working part time as a GP partner in Reepham. As well as my commissioning interests and commitments around Mental Health and Learning Difficulties I am also clinical governance lead for NHS 111.

I am the General Manager at Birchwood Medical Practice in North Walsham but prior to this I have been involved in both the insurance and mobile telecommunications industries. I sit on the NNCCG Executive and provide management representation in respect of mental health. I have been actively involved in commissioning since 2005.

I have been a nurse for a number years, and have worked across a wide range of disciplines both operationally and strategically. This new role has given me the opportunity to apply my considerable experience to ensure that we place clinical quality and patient safety at the heart of everything decision we make as a Clinical Commissioning Group.
